Gig! Tonight! Holycrap!

I have a gig tonight at Irish Murphy's!  You should totally be there!
It's one that I'd thought was cancelled due to Powderfinger being on the same night, and me having bought tickets.
Long story short, Powderfinger was moved to last night (The 13th), and Dane Hunnerup called me this morning saying that I could play afterall, as I was one of the names on the poster!

So be there!
9pm tonight at Irish Murphy's!
I'll be on at 10.

See ya there!

One Fine Day Festival

Today is the day for the One FIne Day festival at the Republic in Hobart, and even though it's not such a fine day, you should still totally go, as it'll be inside and warm.  Plus, as an added bonus, you'll have a whole heap of awesome acts to keep you entertained, such as: Amy Kendall and the Kitchenhands, George Begbie, HANNAH, Invisible Boy, Adam Cousens, Enola Fall, and MANY MORE!

Be there.  It'll be awesome.

Computer game music

So along with recording my album, I have also been playing around with Computer game music for a game being designed by a friend of mine, who goes by the online moniker "Nightcabbage".
I can't tell you too much about this project, as it has not yet been released, but I can show you some of the tracks that aren't going to be used in the game, as they came out a little bit too dark... I seem to be good at making dark atmospheric music, but not so good a really cheerful stuff.

This one is probably my favourite, it's called "A Long Flight with Nothing to Shoot at..."
A Long Flight.mp3

This one would be my second favourite, I haven't actually named it yet though.
Track 4.mp3

I do like this one, but it feels a bit too midi to me.  This was my first time experimenting with more orchestral style instruments.

Hope you enjoy them!

PS. Don't forget about the preview from my hopefully soon to be finished album in the sidebar to the right!
